Bea has always known the sky to be green. One day she tries to paint herself a better, cleaner world, only to learn that painting over the problem is not enough to fix it.

This environmental short animation challenges its audience to try and see the world through the eyes of a child, to recognise big problems rendered simply. It asks its audience to take inspiration from a young girl’s determination to find the solution to a better world.

Featuring words by skilled spoken-word poet, Gemma Barnett:
“‘How are people not paying attention?’ Bea raged
standing beneath a sky dull green
when the only thing certain
was that it shouldn’t have been
she began to weep
as it poured with rain and
washed away
the hope and strength
that had channelled
the length of her arms
giving paint brushes
and fingertips
a magical charm.”
